Home Brew Character Generator for Star Wars Edge of the Empire! Hi everyone I am back to tell you about a character generator. So my friend Steve was the one who pointed this out to me originally and I gotta say that it works really well.
Star Wars Character Generator Star Wars Character Generator Thanks to everyone who has written me during the past few weeks expressing appreciation for my character generators. I am happy that I can now bring most of them back online. Special thanks to and to the people at WoTC to whom we all owe so much.

Ed Friedlander MD March 10, 2015. This little program is my gift to my fellow-gamers, and my way of saying 'thank you' to the hobby's developers. Over a quarter-century, I have enjoyed a cordial relationship with people at.
In return, I'm glad to help make the process of character creation easier for everyone. May the force be with you! Please accept my apologies if this large program fails to load on your computer. There are probably several remaining bugs.
Please write me and let me know about them. While this is being tested, please go first to the bottom of the page and click the character bar and see whether a blank sheet pops up. It would be helpful to have your javascript error messages turned on.

So far, this usually seems to work okay on Netscape, but is slower on Explorer. It takes some time to get started, during which the browser may seem to be locked. It works on some version of 'Opera' and 'Safari'.
It performs poorly on 'Google Chrome.' I would welcome help from professional programmers. Please be sure your browser is javascript-enabled. You may need to turn off your anti-popup program. I included the skill synergies, where applicable, from standard D&D. For ultra-high level players, I kept the epic system from D&D even though it does not really fit in the Star Wars campaign world.
The 'Star Wars' game is similar to d20 Dungeons and Dragons. Vitality points take the place of hit points and are recovered at the rate of 1/level/hour (2 for wookiees).
Wound points equal constitution points, and are depleted by the damage of a successful critical hit, or when vitality points are gone. Zero wound points is unconscious, -1 to -9 is dying, -10 is dead as in regular D&D.
A critical hit brings a non-heroic character to -1 hit points. Prestige classes get their feats assigned automatically, and are available as the qualifications coule be met.
For example, a dark-side marauder must have strength 13 because 'Power Attack' is a pre-requisite. A human could perhaps become a dark-side marauder at level 2; otherwise, all prestige classes more initial levels. I do not foresee adding material from the supplemental books. This will slow the program for everyone and make more people unable to use it. You are more than welcome to download these generators to your own computers and share them with your friends. If you modify them, please give credit to me as original programmer, and do not make an evil-oriented generator.
Of course, I am grateful to TSR/WOTC, who developed and own the game system and graciously allow others to work with it, and to George Lucas and the others who created Star Wars. This page, which will be continually under construction, is intended to help people begin enjoying adventure gaming.

This site is also the work of many volunteers who help in many ways. For more info. Is this really free? What is this open-source thing you mention? Yes, this is totally free and will remain that way. All content on this website is licensed under a license which means we couldn't make money off it even if we wanted to. As for 'open-source,' it just means that all the code that powers this website and is open to contributions from others. What about custom skills? Probably not. Generally speaking, we don't find custom skills to be worthwhile. You should add a bunch of logic to enforce the rules of character creation. That's a lot of work, and does that better.
Why does this exist when exists? OggDude's tool is great! We wanted a tool to manage my characters online and share them with my group, though. Also, that tool is Windows-only.:( I found a bug! Sorry about that!
If you could report it on the, we'll take a look. I have an idea for a neat feature! I'm not adding new features these days, sadly. SWSheets is as good as it's going to get. I think you're claiming ownership of this intellectual property! Star Wars, Edge of the Empire, and all associated works remain the copyright of their respective copyright holders. What license are my created characters under?
Good question. Anything entered into this website is released under a license (just like its source code). Essentially you are welcome to do what you like with this as long as you provide attribution to the original author and don't make money from it, directly or indirectly.
